My Story
It’s a 14 year nightmare from a freak fall that permananently damaged my peroneal nerve in my left leg when my tibia broke and sliced it not all the way through but almost through which has made it go haywire and it’s the worst pain I experience every day of my life. 5 years ago I was in a horrific car wreck flipping my car over twice throwing me out of my seatbelt, over the airbag and into the windshield. I was unconscious for a week and lost memory for close to two years, broke my L4/L5 and disc at my bra strap, my hips dislodged pinching nerves causing more pain to my left leg and had to have my right knee and joints replaced. Lots of years of physical therapy and water therapy and lots of relearning. I have had mild scoliosis since a child, had a full hysterectomy and appendectomy at 39 due to overwhelming endometriosis. I’ve lived in pain a lot of my life though it never stopped me from an active, adventurous, fun life mother of 3 until I damaged my peroneal nerve. I’ve basically been homebound since the wreck but was not able to be active since the initial peroneal nerve accident 14
years ago. I have literally gone through every surgery, procedure, injections, radio frequency ablations, epidurals, infusions, braces, walker, crutches, canes, wheelchair, acupuncture, medical massages, holistic approaches, hands on spiritual healing, pain coping counseling and medicine combinations and currently waiting approval for a nerve stimulator but nothing has given me my life back! I’m really eager to try the ToeOff Brace and get active again! I’ll never give up hope or give up on myself! Thank you
